That reminds me of an early morning drive out of Tonbridge in 1973 with me driving my new red Ford Escort Mk1.

There were these signs that warned of wild animals posted along a long stretch of road going out towards Sevenoaks, which as a youngster always virtually ignored with humour thinking what wild animals!!.

Anyway this morning was a typical Kent very foggy morning, and as I was going along at about 35 mph suddenly two enormous stags came out of the fog, right in the middle of the road!

I braked hard and missed them, eventually going around these two to continue the journey.

Never again did I joke about those "wild animal" signs!!

Yep, wrote of a Volvo 960 with a Roe Deer a few years back, boy are they solid (the deer & the car)

you must go down as the first person in history to write off a volvo
