Am I imagining it or do Mercedes feature quite often in these events?  Some of them do have some really weird parking-brake arrangements.

Oi!  I'm only 64 but I don't think I'll be getting the pedals mixed up when I'm 70+.

I may be a fully paid up "old fart", but I'm going to stop driving before I become a danger to the public.  Which is more than can be said for some of the young whippersnappers round here!!!

For the record, I prefer the term "old fart" to "coffin dodger" which was enjoying currency on this forum last week. >:(

No offence taken - there are many on this planet who have fulfilled their evolutionary function and are thus surplus to requirement.

They should send all the old people to war, not the youngsters.  Those that aren't fit to defuse a bomb can be set to clearing up oil spills and uranium mining.  Those that aren't fit for that either can take over all the nasty jobs young people don't want.  Those that won't do that, and for the remainder, euthanasia clinics.  Or bring back National Service for the over 70s.

Oxygen thief is a stupid term.  For the most part it doesn't belong to anyone, those who need it have enough, and there's no shortage of replacement oxygen.

Quote from the article:-

Referring to the driver, the shopping centre spokeswoman said: "She was parking..."

Need I say more?  :D

She thought the brakes had failed and hit the accelerator again and careered through the wall.

They are among us. :o

Still, she was driving a Mercedes and expecting things to fail, so she got one thing right. ;)
