I reckon to ban those full face burkas etc are a breach of the womens human rights. I mean how are all the ugly women going to get to go into town now ??

In spite of the humour there is a very serious point here - is it acceptable for people to conceal themselves (and their immediate identity) in this fashion?

I don't think it is.

The growing use of this form of expression - however intended - can have a retrograde effect on community relations by creating an obvious statement by the wearer that they desire to separate themselves from the mainstream.

This frame of mind usually morphs into the desire to have separate arrangements made in all aspects of day to day life - different laws, schools, areas of residence and so on.

I don't think this can be allowed to become the norm, as indifference, carelessness and weak decision making generally results in many problems being ignored - only to rise and cause greater difficulty in the future.

  Hmmm..... Contentious Zulu......sadly... I can't concur with you on this point....(but I still like you) :-* :-* :-*
