However Del, which vehicle do you intend to put it on?
The BMW? I saw that on ebay the other day, so I assume you're trying to sell it? A private registration means you will need to get a replacement V5C and tax disc, and then if you wish to sell the vehicle it's assigned to and retain the plate, it will require another new V5C and tax disc. I'm unsure of how quickly the DVLA will do it all. If it's similiar to the V5C's when you purchase a vehicle, it could be up to a month  :-/

Less than a week.

I have just bought one from DVLA.
Applied on a thursday online, paperwork arrived the following Tuesday.
All I've got to do is go over to my local DVLA office and get it put on the car, job done :y

Took two weeks though for the original plates to be put back on the car I bought. It had personal plates which he transferred to his new vehicle.

Poor car will have had three different reg numbers in one month.

Mick ;)

They can be very quick, I taxed, changed owner and classification and they said it would take 4 weeks, new log book (old skool :D) all correct in less that a week... :y  I did do this at a local DVLA office and not a post office, which might make a difference. :)
