What do you mean by 'reprogramming' the 2.2 ECU?

TB - if he is referring to re-flashing the ECU and upgrading the firware, theh this should be possible - you did it on my 2.6 facelift and if I am not mistaken you also did it on AA's 2.2. If this relates to re-mapping the ECU then it is probably possible though I don't think anyone has actually tried it yet?

I meant I have a car with a supposedly duff ECU, I have a car pass, can a replacement ECU from a scrapyard be programmed with the new (to it) imobiliser code.

I believe that should be possible, but never tried it so am not 100% sure...
