..... Who is Dr O

In the dim & distant past ..... long long before OOF was set up, there is/was a Yahoo Omega's group of which Dr Omega is a major player (.... although signed on here he rarely puts his 2 pen'orth in  :-/) Dr O is the service manager at Lookers & knows his Vauxhalls back to front, inside out etc  :y  :y etc

Nuts on the wifes fiesta were put on so tight the threads stripped out when I took them off, went round with a major cob on and made them supply replacements >:(

Just got the same thing with mine. First thing I did was to use my wheel wrench on the nuts, the socket cracked straight down the side  >:(

I have just got a spiffing new reversable 60-300Nm torgue wrench so I thought I would just see how hard these nuts are.
100 *click*
200 *click*
300 HHHHNNNNGGGG *click*

Can't shift them so I shall drop this in my local garage and see what they can do. The downside for them is that I am going to check the wheel nuts when they give it back. Torgue it up properly did you? *click* ...... get it back on the ramp!  :y

they should use a proper torque socket on the airgun which is set to about half the rating of what most manufactures recomend, then as said should be done with a torque wrench to the correct setting
