Was thinking of getting a few tools to help me do same work on the car myself give Mark a Rest ;D ;D.

Have a small tool box with some good bits in spanners up to 17mm i think.
Looking at jack, stands, to help with oil and fillter changes. What other size spanners would be good to get and other tools for diy jobs.

Also anytips at where to get them at a good price. :y

Thanks all
Steve

note the rrp of the 150pc halfords set it £179 or £199 depending on store :o

about £95 on trade, £100 when on (frequent) sale offer.

Its a good starter set - mix it with a few decent screwdrivers (draper expert being my preferred weapon), some pliers/molegrips/cutters and you're on your way to having enough tools for most jobs. Then the lifting gear - jacks/stands etc

Thanks for the great pointer all . Will get some bits sorted and start with the oill change :y :y. Looking for a good Oill pan  ;)

I use an old washing up bowl. Cat litter trays are just the right size too, though they break easy if you drop something heavy on them :-[ ;D

I like the machinemart oil pan as well, and the spout makes it easy to empty without making too much of a mess...

Having had the chance to 'try before you buy' when Darth Loo knee was round a month or two back, I bought one of these also, but the 7.6 ltr version. Made/marketed under the Sealey brand, Amazon had the best price at the time. Plenty big enough I find. Caught all the atf last week when I dropped the sump, and means I can change the oil without ramps/jacks/stands etc, though long arms help. :y
