GO for it, i have had one in my MV6 for over a year, and its from the same one as ebay, i noticed a difference and have never had any problems at all, safe as houses mate!! ;)

If you really want more BHP, try this simple mod.

Open the bonnet, spit at the engine, slam the bonnet and buy a Ferrari.

As said, its likely to be a copy of a chip.

which is great as it saves you £100 as opposed to getting one of ours.

But this is where ours are different.

LB had an issue with his first one - I offered to go down to him, pick up the car and go to our writer and get his car checked out and a new chip written, with NO extra cost to him.

However, we resolved it by getting him another chip.

Ours use any current software revision from Vauxhall, and are coded correctly to your ecu, making sure you get the correct revisions.  

The ones on eBay arent.

Just to add - the resistor mod of simply chucking in more fuel can actually lose you power as well ;)
