Del I think there are a couple of different 1.6s with one of them being the turbo version at something like 225BHP  :D

Now it makes sense  ;D I'd lay money on the 1.6 Turbo being better on fuel than the in my opinion pretty poor 1.6 N/A engine. Any N/A petrol in a Vauxhall I find juicy  :-/

Nah, e.g., er indoors 1.6 Astra J shows a combined average of 34-35mpg (town driving) and hits 45 on a run.

But, do remember that the H has had THREE different 1.6 engines!

1.6 VVT engine I'm on about, how ever your mrs. gets that MPG I'll never know.

Easy and she does give it some stick to.

Even I can get that mpg, been pretty impressed with it TBH.

Back on the subject folks,how does the vvti engine work,and whats different to a normal 1.8?
