Changed my plugs

I changed my spark plugs today and the first thing I noticed was 3 of the plugs were only hand tight. Now I know you shouldn't tighten them to much but i'm pretty sure you shouldn't be able to undo them by hand :o. I also noticed a couple of plugs had a tiny amount of oil on them as in a bit around the hexagonal part of the plug but it wasn't wet it looked burnt. Does anyone think I need to change the rocker gaskets or do you think I will get away with cleaning the breathers.

try cleaning breathers and check again in 1000 miles...

If the cam covers were leaking then you wouldn't be able to see the plugs!

I can vouch for that, when they went on my old miggy the number 4 plug was totally submerged - when you removed the HT lead, you couldn't see any part of the plug :o

I just changed 2 rocker gaskets on a V6 omega yesterday - I can confirm that, the plug wells were actually full right to the top with oil - none of the plugs were visible at all. I'm amazed it ran...

Yup - seen that too.  Had to use a large syringe and a length of tube to suck the oil away befor i could even find the plug.  Amazed that it ran at all.
