Farenheit to celcius
« on: 31 October 2007, 12:02:36 »

Hi.

I reset the climate in my omega 2000 model, by holding auto and off button for 5 seconds or so, and now the panel has changed to farenheit. How do I change it back to celcius?

ps. Great site! Thx!

I wish I could go the other way with my PRE face lift car. I found out it's Tech II'able after I let my tame Tech II enabled Vauxhall Technician go home!  ;D  ;D

Hmmmm,

Now theres a question for The Boy or Mark  (our tech 2 experts)

Although I don't use farenheight myself, if you reconfigure a pre facelift into F, what are the temperature increments?

Being an awkward bugger I would generally like 20.5, so if F went up in single degrees, it would give you considerably more control.

Or, subtract 32 from the figure displayed in Farenheit, multiply that by 5 & then divide the answer by 9

(using a calculator is probably as illegal as using a cell phone and could get you 3 points so time for a bit of mental arithmatic!) :D

If I remembercorrectly, holding in the temperature knob on my facelift for long enough toggles between C & F. Two degree increments in F though, like you I find the steps too wide.

I can't remember if I found a way to switch outside temperature between the two.

I know. :'( I don't use the car enough these days though to worry about it. I'm still in 2 minds as to whether to get shut & get something better. ;)
