Nice one granny! ....and a belated welcome to the site  :y

It'd be rude not to thrash it though  ;D

For a family though, I think the omega estate fits the bill perfectly, enormous load space, really comfortable and let's face it, you're not really going to be caning the t$ts off it with a car full of passengers anyway ...and gents, use your nouse, how many families  can afford to run and look after a car like the V6 omega!?!  :-? Ppppfff!

Granny, you might want to look at fitting cruise control, a little more involved on your engine but still a worthwhile upgrade. I wonder if all the wiring is also there for heated seats, foglights and the full MID display???  ::)

A-up Davlad

You sound like a wise man!  ;)

Thanks for the comments, I'm not sure about doing the upgrades, as long as it keeps going and doesn't cost me the earth, I'll be happy  ::)

Cheers

All things are relative when it comes to expense...

Yes, you can have a Jap motor, but I've always felt them soul-less (and I was looking at buying a Scooby Doo Turbo - didn't like it, so looked at a 'Bishi Evo 4, still weren't keen... Let's not even mention Micra's!)

If you sit down and compare like-to-like to a BM or Merc, you get lots of bang for yer buck.

Where else can you get a 4yr old luxury motor for a couple of grand?  (Or, in your case, free?)  Yes, it will need a few quid spending on it now and again.  But, when it does need a quid or two spending on it, I know which will be cheapest...
