ABS/TC fault -2.5V6cd-1999 (V)
« on: 12 December 2007, 00:35:17 »

I have just bought the above having been a Senny man before.
(1) The ABS &TC warning lights are permanently on and
(2) the speedo does not work.

(1) Will it be a sensor(s) needs replacing.
(2) Will it be the head unit that needs replacing and if so has anybody got one.

 >:( :(

Probably a sensor fault.....

All operated from Hall effect sensors either side of the diff, ajacent to the gear tooth type sensors on the driveshafts....  check all electrical connections down there in the first place, then we can collectively take it from there....

Your speedo ABS & TC all use the ABS for their speed references. Sounds like it could be the ABS unit that's fubar'd, if you search the site you'll find details of where you can get your unit refurb'd as a new one will cost you the same as your car did.  :(

As I've said before .. I rate BBA Re-man very highly, they sorted my identical problem - fubarred ABS ECU - very fast and at a decent cost compared to Vx

Give them a ring on 01634 230 055

I have no link to them other than as a highly satisfied customer  :)

yep, sounds like ABS ecu has gone faulty.

You would have lost Cruise control as well al of this is linked in with the ABS.

the companies that the guys are talking about will be able to help, the only other thing you may need to do is to recode the ECU to the car, it depends if they recon yours or not
