Heated seats
« on: 14 December 2007, 13:55:49 »

For those of you that have tried them; how long are you finding it's taking for your heated seats to warm up in this cold weather? mine were working last time I tested them (back in the summer!!) they seem to be taking ages now , to the point where I'm thinking are they working or is it heat from my backside warming the seat!!
Cheers Pete

about 3 minites or so, i found they take effect much faster on leather. (almost instantly get warm)

With my cloth seats, when i am leaving town (within 3-4 mins or starting), they are working and nice and warm.

I guess with the heater fans on full and rear window heater thing, that all draws power so can take longer to warm up?

My leather ones take about 1min before you can feel the heat coming through.

I must have a sensitive a--e. My cloth seat heaters in my 2.6l are unbearably hot on max. after 30 secs.
I have to run them on the lowest setting.
Or else I need to phone my doctor.  ;D

Mine are the same - No2 in winter.  No5 reserved for unknowing passengers - simply for comic effect.

I remember my father in law asking "Are these seats heated or have I wet myself" followed by "Can you turn it off cos I feel like my chestnuts are roasting over an open fire"  ;D
