OBD II Scanners
« on: 21 May 2008, 15:21:36 »

Hi, Do any of the scanners that are available on Ebay work with a 2000 omega 2.5. Though of getting one incase of future problems, thought it maybe easier than doing the paper clip test. Thanks

OBD-II scanners won't work on a 2.5, unfortunately. OBD-II came with the transition to 2.6 / 3.2 engines.

I´ve been thinking that opel-scanner too.
It needs laptop though.
But, with it you should be able to change some parameters too

Opel scan can encode transponder keys, I've not yet found a way to match remote RF keys with it.

It does at least give you a mechanical key that will start the car.
