Misfire
« on: 13 September 2008, 22:07:00 »

Ok, I am sure this is nothing new but I can't see this Q in FAQs, so I will try this out for size.  I have bought new Coil pack, leads, plugs, rocker covers. & guess what!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yesppers, it still misfires & pops. I have thrown 500 squid at this car so I now need to keep it. The engine management light is now on, so do I take it to VX for diagnosis or is there something I am missing? All I want is a car that runs nice.

I just replaced everything at once as it is a pain to get to things,I just thought it easier & thought that would do the trick once & forall

Hi, I did the paperclip test & to be honest I just do not understand what I am looking at, the EML does flash but then flashes in different sequences. Any chance of someone calling me & talking me through it, I know I am a pain in the butt, & am sorry? So can you call? Please.

132   Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Feedback Incorrect Signal
59   Intake Manifold Valve 1 Voltage Low
31   No Engine RPM Signal - normal with the engine not running :)

all here ... http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1160152415

I'd be checking the connections around the engine to ensure evrything is plugged in properly ...

Take the EGR valve off and clean it well ith paint sripper until the pintel inside moves freely, re-sit and then block the two ports off with a bit of coke can as I suspect it might be stuck open!

Check also the connection to the rear of the plenum which operates the multiram.
