head gasket

hi  how can you tell if the head gasket or cam cover gasket had gone on a 1996 2.0 16 v ???

Big difference between cam cover and head gasket, whats the symptoms ?

hg,water in the oil, mayo on dip stick, thin oil, rough running, eml light on, oxygen sensor code when paperclip tested.

Cam c, oil in plug wells, general oil down the side of the engine.

hi i got oil in one pug well + water loss and will not tick over keep cutting out

Clean breathers throttle body and cam sensor, check hbv is not wet or leaking, but first i would be tempted to change the oil and see if it has any water/thin gravey/mayo/white deposits.

heater bypass value guide in maintenance section for a v6, same for 4 pot.

hi will it be best to renew the cam cover 1st and then see how it runs ;D
