Breather box question

Should you be able to hear air through the breather box on plenum when ticking over .I ask this because of my car running poorly .no codes with paperclip and a garage code reader thankyou   :(

A quick way of checking for vac/intake leaks is to lightly spray carb cleaner in the affected area whist the engine is running, if/when the engine note changes it means the cleaner has been "drawn in" to the system and is being burned... you have now found the leak ..  just needs a little more spraying to pinpoint it .

Once you've done this , wipe the whole area down with paper towel and you have a diagnosed problem AND a nice clean engine  .. :)

but don't spray carb cleaner on hot exhaust manifolds!!!!!!! :exclamation
