Heating hoses
« on: 11 April 2009, 07:24:07 »

I have a split hose below the HBV. looks like its one of the 2 that enters through the bulkhead. Whilst that area is in bits and easy to get to, I am going to replace all the large hoses in that area. anyone know part numbers for them? Thanks in advance.

ok, have removed the coolant hoses (thanks marks dtm) the hose coming from the hbv going into the block has split. I have removed it from the HBV but how on earth do you remove the clip holding it onto the block? any ideas? I have tried with a mirror but to no avail?!!

Do you mean the one that goes to the coolant bridge? if so you may need to remove the plenum and inlet manifold to get at it properly :y

Mole grips are my weapon of choice for the pipe sprig clips

Halfords sell the tool for these,

but it often wont fit into the space to open wide enough to work.

I still like it though, molegrips 2nd.

Im not sure where it goes, it is below where the hbv sits, it is the large hose that enters the block next to a smaller hose. I used grips to remove the pipe clips from the hbv, but have no chance of getting to the clip on the block because i cant even see it,i can just feel it with my hand. I have the wiper arm/motor and hbv out the way, do i need to remove all the breather pipes & injection system to access it?
