Now its Radiator Fan...
« on: 01 May 2009, 16:09:28 »

All,
I am back with more problems :-( :'(
Nice hot sunny day and I got stuck in traffic, noticed the engine temparature reached above 100 and the fan did not kick in

When I came back the coolant was boiling and a little spilled out of the overflow tank.

I have recently replaced the radiator and the fan switch - should I replace the Fan or check for thermostat or something.

The GM spare part number on the fan is 90448148 - any one has a spare?

Thanks

if you had boiling water in your expansion tank then check your Headgasket!

there is a fuse on the V6's that some times blows it lives in the engine bay fusebox by the battery if it fuses on a V6 the fan stops working dont know if the 4 pot is the same though....
