EGR question
« on: 19 July 2009, 12:11:12 »

Having obtained the 3mm blanking plate, does it sit at the bottom of the flange between the valve and mini manifold and if so does it require a gasket as I can not see one there at the moment.(The one visible is between the valve itself and the flange)
Second question is it worth blanking off irrespective of having problems or not. What are the views?

when I used one, it was engine, blank, gasket valve

Not a lot to be gained unless its blowing really.

Just removed the EGr valve and to my surprise it was very clean and hardly any soot in it. Should I now put the blanking plate on or not, it was not giving me problems just routine maintenance. :question
