Front springs 2.5td
« on: 31 July 2009, 21:12:35 »

Anyone got an front spring for a tractor lying around ?

I have found a company that will make me a pair of standard height, up-rated springs but they need an original spring in order to develop the up-rated jobbies.

Nice one Tombstone.
I've been dealing with Andy at Faulkner Springs.  http://www.dfaulknersprings.co.uk
He's quoted between £50 to £60 per spring but will need a sample spring and some info on weight of car etc.
The straight six BMW lump in the 2.5td is significantly heavier than the other Miggy engines and the springs are beefed up accordingly, just not enough.

I'll ask if it has to be the specific spring for the 2.5td. I suspect there may be a difference and they probably need the specific O/E jobbie.

I lowered my '94 Elite by 40mm. Darned good handling for a big old barge.  :y

Cheers
