You will probably find that the wiring loom is already present but tied up out the way. As far as I know the loom is the same, just some parts are not connected.
Might be wrong but worth a looky under the seats just in case.
Mine are GREAT!

It was 3 degrees in Cambridge all day. I turned on my heated seats to 3 and was boiling! Am I the only one that finds the seats to be too hot when set above 2?  :-/

chelski...what issues are you having with the seat heaters?
All the wiring is complete with the waeco kit, needing only connecting to a +12 and earth.
My suggestion was using the existing wiring which is located by the multipoint connector on either side of each front seat.

That sounds correct...Vauxhall seem to use brown as 12volt +,so that should be connected to the Red wire from the kit....strange you have an orange wire as the set I got had a black wire, which does connect to the other side which is red/black.
Are you saying they work now but your battery is just flat ??

Hello all,can I say as far as I know VX have always used the brown wire as - (negative) return to ground. Regret connection as you describe could possibly have blown fuse No14. :-/
