Estate Tailgate Struts?
« on: 29 December 2009, 20:52:46 »

Chaps,

After the snow last week, my tailgate won't stay up :( Do the struts give out all of a sudden like this? Is it worth getting some secondhand ones or going for some new ones? How much are new ones? It's no good having a tailgate that clonks you on the back of your head ::)

Cheers Mark, that's doable! I remember getting a pair for a Monza tailgate, very long and very strong, and they were over £100 each from the dealers. £26 a pair is more like it :y

Mine suddenly went, definately much worse in the colder weather too.  In the summer they did hold and depending on the position of the car in the cold...
