Heater matrix quick release clip question
« on: 03 March 2010, 15:19:16 »

I am trying to get these off. Have removed the scuttle for slightly better access.

Following the guidehttp://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1185891036. It all looks straightforward. BUT    :-[

I have moved the fitting half an inch along the top pipe but that is it. A green plastic 3/4 circular ring with 3 shapes on it dropped out. Does this need to be back in for the quick release to operate.?

also how do you press the latch in? small screwdriver in the 1/8th inch hole or pressing down on the bit with three grooves.

My plan is to insert a short length of pipe to bypass the heater matrix to "prove" it is leaking.

dont worry about the green bit, its from production and can be discarded  :y

just pull the latch into the hose, wiggle, twist, and off it comes
