Ive read lots about people replacing the whole lower suspension arms on the front of their omegas but ive yet to hear of anyone  removing them replacing the bushed and then refitting them

isthere a reason people choose to replace rather than  repair the ones they have ?

it must be cheaper to keep the ones you already have ?

i think most owners do this as an upgrade to better bushes eg, Merle or polyurethane especially on cheaper wishbones

some do.....

trouble is you need a press / someone to rebush for you.

or just do the wishbones on your own.

I did this recently. 
Used an M12 bit of studding and a couple of ali blocks with suitable cutouts instead of a press.  Hardish work, but successful. Will add some pics of these bits  at lunchtime, and make them available to anyone who'd like to borrow.

Drilling out the rivets that hold the balljoints on is also not a 2-minute job, but quite do-able with care.

Was very happy with the end result, but it all took some time.  Wouldn't attempt it this way if the bones had to come off the car, be refurbed, then refitted all within a short time.
