Blue Smoke
« on: 23 April 2010, 12:11:43 »

Hi guys

Just a quick question, recently changed the cam gaskets but I've still got a small puff of blue smoke on start up (usually on when cold) can I assume this is probably the old valve stem oil seals that were used b Vx for a while and do I need to budget for them to be changed.

TIA
 :)

I have the same model with the same symptoms, and I don't worry about it. The advice given (iirc) is that 1 litre of oil per 1000 miles is fine according to VX.
I'll seek the help of the fine fellows on here to replace the valve seals if it gets worse than that. ;)
