fuel injectors give error codes
« on: 10 June 2010, 12:50:58 »

Hello everybody, hope somebody can get me some advice.
The car is a Opel Comodore 2Ltr, drives on Petrol and has a Koltec installation as well.\ Acelleration is very sluggish from standstill and if I put my foot down too much, the motor gives a ' throaty'   sound but does not develop much power.
Driving on gas, the engine light switches off, but if I switch to petrol, the light comes on and stays that way.
When the car has speed, performance  is not too bad but still not particulairly good either.
No difference to talk of, in either gas or petrol mode.
the codes read: 0201 to 0204 than 0304 and finally 1690.
I have changed the camshaft sensor already but that did not make a difference.
A while ago I cleaned the small breather hose with the ventury on the end. reason was that the motor would stall on occasion; cleaning the breather did cure that.
Again, I do hope that a kind somebody will give me some advice and a lead as where to go from here.

greeting and much regards

Eddy Moors.

well your codes are

P0201      Injector Valve 1 Volte High
P0201      InjectorVal
P0202      Injector Val
P0202      Injector Valve 2 Voltage Low
P0203      Injector Valve 3 Voltage High
P0203      Injector Valve 3 Voltage Low
P0204      Injector Valve 4 Voltage High
304 I cant see
and
P1690      Telltale (Check Light) Voltage High
P1690      Telltale (Check Light) Voltage Low

so ignore the 1690 (its the management light which you know is working)

So I would be checking the wiring to the petrol injectors, reseat the connector etc.

Agreed. Faults point to problems in the injector circuit and the prime suspect has to be where the LPG wiring has been added to intercept the petrol injector wiring.

Hmm how long as it been running on gas? if its been on a long time then the fuel injectors(petrol ) could well be gummed up?
hence the noise but nogo?
