Hi there, just bought a 2001 Omega saloon with 69000miles on the clock and as there is no history of when the cambelt has been changed I've ordered a cambelt kit and water pump.

I'm a little apprehensive as I've never done work on my own car before.

Is this a pretty simple job?  I've ordered the dvd from OOF.

If I struggle is there anyone in the warrington area who could give me a hand or wouldn't mind doing the job for a small fee?

Cheers,

Allan

I was the same as yourself being apprehensive but after watching the DVD decided to give it ago knowing that if I had any problems there would be someone on here who would offer advice. Luckily enough found it straight forward.

Having picked the car up,  in with the service history was a receipt for a timing belt kit dated July 2009, about 15,000 miles ago so seems I'm (hopefully) not going to have to attempt the change for a little while yet :)

Thanks for the assistance though everyone :D
