Chassis numbers - HT Leads - which ones!
« on: 16 May 2010, 15:15:59 »

Currently as poor as a church mouse - cannot afford Gen GM plug leads at silly money, so looking at OE. I've located and bought the correct DIS, but with the leads, I am faced with two options - can anyone tell me which one I need?

I'm guessing the differences, is in length.... just not sure which ones applies, to a 2000, facelift V6?

If anyone can check, that's really appreciated  :y

Thought all v6 HT leads were the same. :-/
I bought a cheap set (£25) from ebay about 3 years ago and they never gave any trouble until I sold the car about a month ago. ;)

These are the ones you want - oef 625  :y

I bought the exact same & double checked with expresspartsuk. The difference IS the length!
I bought mine for £25.51 (best offer) + £4.49 p&p = £30.00

Don't laf  ;D

I've got BIG problems with engine running roughly so have done compression test (ok), changed spark plugs, changed ht leads (as above), changed original dis pack for a used one (original one tested y/day & is ok!!) but waiting to test pack on car.
So the answer is - i aint got a clue!!!!  :-/ :(

They LOOK fine but there again & please excuse me for saying this after all the problems you are facing, when you picked up the car i'm sure it LOOKED fine  :-/

They have writing on them & seems like a reputable company so i'd like to say quality SHOULD be ok  :y

ps. My original leads were all numbered for the spark plugs but these were not so u'll have to offer them against the one's on your car  :o

I got a set of aftermarket leads from my local motor factors but they were all different lengths to the old ones so I asked on here for the wiring order and MarkDTM sorted me out with the following info

I hope that helps.
