I recall reading on here somwhere about some lubricant that you can put into the window runner edges to make the windows run a bit more smoothly.

Any info as to whether its any good, where to get it etc would be gratefully received.

Cant remember whether its ptfe or silicon spray lube recommended.

Guess either would work.

Halfords do them both

Bit of GT85 worked for me. It's a PTFE dry lubricant, IIRC.

just go to the pound shop & buy some cheapo cockpit spray, as its basically a silicone spray so it works a treat.

Yup, any cheapo Silicon does the job a treat. Surprising what a difference it makes, especially if your windows seem lazy or think they have detected an obstruction.

Well, the Master told me off for using silicon spray, which does work by the way, but Mark was saying ptfe gives less build up over time as it is dry, where as silicone is wet and collects dust and crap.

So ptfe if you can get it neat, trouble is it usually comes mixed with petro chemical based lubes which eat rubber.

Probably comes down to what you can get your hands on, ime silicon spray is more readily available

both do the job but if you can get hold of ptfe spray, use it 

silicon tends to let the sh*t stick to it after a bit of time
