water problem

hello . i got a bit of a problem with the water in the exspansion bottle.when i fill it to the top marker . could drive 5 minutes down the road and check it. it would be empty again any suggestions on were it is going . thanks

It is obviously losing water.

Look for obvious leaks/drips etc. Common leak place is the Heater Bypas Valve. It is located just under the scuttle at the back of the engine. Very common to leak.

The water has to go somewhere, so it is either leaking externally or internally. If internally you woud be looking at possible head problem/gasket.

well i did look for the obvious leeks but there is no dripping . so i mate told me to look on the oil cap to see if there is any white mayo bits on it . bit i checked o and it was just black . so that was ok
i will have to look at the back of the engine to see if is leeking .

Check also if water comes out from the exhaust
