Power sounder has it's own battery, i.e. not the main car battery.
Check the bonnet switch is locating properly.

You may want to consider disconnecting it until you sort it out:

Hi Rainmaker, welcome to the forum.   :)

... and could you ease off just a little bit on the rain making?   ;D

Your problem sounds a bit like this one, which has links into various suggestions for fixes.

If it turns out to be the power sounder, I have just sorted this on mine and it wasn't too bad to fix - only one box of elastoplast required.

Hope this helps!   :y

No other problems associated with disconnecting the sounder. It may impact on your insurance though.

Hi and welcome

If you have found your remote locking operation to be a bit sketchy then I'd recommend you get that looked at, mine was hit and miss for a while and around the same time the alarm started going off in a more or less random fashion - I got the key fob repaired by Martin Imber http://www.martinimber.co.uk/ and the alarm has been fine ever since.
As many will confirm Martin is a top guy and turned my fob round very quickly and reasonably.

And yes - enough with the rain!
