I believe holding "Auto" and "Off" for 6 seconds (it might be 10..) does it; you hear all the flaps & doors cycle through their positions and everything clunk & whirr for a bit, then your settings are all reset to default.

Sorry for the delay in replying to all your advice which is much appreciated. Uckfield is not in Wales else it would rain more!
Back to the condensation. I have aircon but it packed up in May. Probably just needs a recharge?
I keep the scuttle drains clear but will recheck. I will check that the recirculation flap is working and that the cubby holes in the rear are clear. I am not losing any water.

As I said above, there is a way to reset the starting position of the air recirculation flaps by holding certain buttons in together but I can't remember the sequence. I think Jimbob is going to be posting up a "How To" in the maintenance section soon.

Yes, this is the method to reset the climate control servo motors I believe. There is another reset that MDTM posted on here involving pressing the air recirculation button. His post included an extract from Vauxhall stating that if the voltage fell below a certain level, the climate system wouldn't recognise the start postion of the air recirc flaps (or something like that) which had the same result as driving around with the air recirculation switched on.....hence the misting up inside the car. Damn, I wish I could find the original post!

Scuttle drain below pollen filter was a bit clogged up so hopefully that was the problem all along. Recirculation flap appears to be working.
Cubby holes in the back all clear.
