Side parking light is operated by indicater stalk, possible wiring fault if sidelight is not working.

Are you saying the bulb in question does work when the stalk is used for parking, but doesn't when you just use the light switch?

the bulb does not work at all. but works when i put it in the other side. if i leave the indicator stalk on left or right position it buts the front main beam on and the rear brake light on. it would seem there is a electrical fault some were does any body have any ideas were to start.

is this the same whether the ignition is on or off? I'd suggest a dodgy main light switch or indicator switch, but not sure how either might cause the brake light coming on.  :-/  :-/

sounds like it could be a poor earth connection at one of the lights in question causing it to back feed other bulbs
