Usually in the £30 region, can only get it from Vauxhall and you will need to take your owners document with you when you collect it...

Car pass contains radio code (if original radio) and cd changer code if you have one as well as the code to access the ECU if you need to make changes/code new keys/chips etc etc as well as the key number

One thing nobody has mentioned is that the car pass is only good and usable IF nothing on the original vehicle specifications has been changed. Anthing that was changed by any previous owner, be it the radio, cd, ecu, immobilser etc will render that part of the car pass unusable.
Problem is that you will only know when you have shelled out like I did(£27.00 from the local VX dealerstealer) only to find the information was mostly useless!
GudLuk though....

Thats is correct as the info we get back from Vauxhall Security is the info that was recorded and given to the car at production.

If you think the Radio and /or CD unit has been changed then take the serial numbers from the units and the Dealer can entre these on the request form.

When the security centre put the details into there system it will tell them what the serial numbers should be, if they don't match they can search the the audio manufractures records and fine the code number.

Another problem is if someone has had the unit de-coded or re-coded by a third party and the info has not been recorded.

We charge £20.00 for the pass but we need a copy of the vehicle logbook and another form of ID and you also need to sign the security form.

Cheers
Andy

Yup, my local dealer charged me £25 + VAT, and had fax back 24 hours later. Paper pass came by post to home address 10 days later.

Not bad for a dealer... :y
