Just Got Back From The Garage...
« on: 12 November 2010, 11:15:49 »

Oh dear, which i hadn't gone now lol

I've not had the car in the air since purchasing from Omegamover about 2 months ago, i've been getting the odd unusual sensation from the suspension while driving so i thought i'd get it checked out..... But a car in the air often reveals other issues  :(

1. Rear doughnut bushes worn
2. Rear brake pads low
3. Rear shocks (self-levelling) leaking fluid of some sort
4. Engine oil leak - pretty much everywhere from the head down, covering the starter motor, sump, gearbox etc...
5. Bald rear tyre
6. Possible rear wheel bearing worn
7. The windscreen has developed a nice 5in crack

I which i'd stayed in bed lol

Anyways, i knew some bits needed doing.... Anyone offer any thoughts on the oil leak?  I'm thinking maybe rocker cover gasket perhaps?

1. Try going poly, should see good improvment
2. They are only £10
3. Most expensive issue here, £150 pair if you want to keep Self Levelling, you could ditch it and put standard shocks on for £70 a pair. Just pull fuse on the pump
4. CamCovers, easy, if fiddly fix
5. Tyres wear with any car, personally i would replace them in pairs
6. Should not worry too much about that, why is just 'possible'? Could they not tell?
7. Fully Comp, usually has a specific Window Excess, cost me £75 to get a new screen
