Hi folks
Ive got my first problem with my omega :) havent pulled it apart yet to see which it is either propshaft or gearbox making a knocking and no drive :(

Im just looking to see incase ive to buy gearbox are all v6 boxes the same or will my mv6 box have a diferent ration?

it could be the diff or driveshafts rather than the box,get someone to try it while you have a look underneath and see whats spinning and whats not

forgot to say its manual

when i rev car the knock gets quicker and when im in below i can hear knock from where gearbox meets the prop

ok but does the prop spin when car is in gear with clutch released

Ill check tomorrow and let yas know. If its spinning will that hint towards diff. Even tho the knocking is from gearbox end?

Started the omega today as i had to move it to make some room the prop shaft is turning and when i let the clutch out and lots of juttering from backend and a wee bit of drive

hi i had the same problem i changed the diff first and it ended up being the gearbox as well i was gutted they both died the same time :'( :)
