I fitted Pirelli P6000s just over a year ago and have done less than 10,000 miles on them. The front ones have worn unevenly but I've had the wheel alignment checked and corrected twice during that time.

Should I be getting more than just the alignment done - steering geometry is mentioned several times I think? Also does it make much difference which brand of tyres I use, I have always found Continentals to be very good?

When you have the wheel alignment checked, are all the geometry angles checked or is it the front tracking only? 4 wheel alignment includes measuring and correcting caster, camber and toe on the front and camber and toe on the  rear. Uneven wear could well be camber related as well as toe related.
hope this clarifies things a little bit.

Mine was just chewing up the inside edge of the front tyre a couple of years back.... I took it to a local tyre place for alignment and it's been fine since....  :y

I think it was just a 4 wheel laser alignment....  :-/ but it's done the trick!!  :y
