Changing the water pump at the same time is as said, peace of mind and convenience as the extra work involved to do the job is minimal when your doing the cambelt and the cost of the water pump isn't that great...

Also if the water pump starts to disintegrate and the fins get into the water system it can be a pain to get them out and probably as costly as doing the water pump...better safe than sorry

Cheers guys, found a new one at eurocarparts at wembley, went to Garage-D in watford to fit it (easy job to be honest) only to find it wasnt that at all, but the stupid pipe that goes under the cams to the thermostat. Waste of a weekend and £50 plus on parts and antifreeze. Gutted!  >:( :( ::) :'(
