Omega Phone??
« on: 23 October 2009, 07:09:22 »

Hi!
Can anyone tell me on this wonderful forum what the phone is used for in the passenger footwell? Is it an original fixture? Thanks.  :-/  :y

If your on an operator that runs on GSM1800, then just set your phone to re-direct to factory fit phone.

Looks like the privacy handset for either a Nokia Cark-91 car kit or the Telematics unit.

The privacy handset for my Telematics is hidden in the armrest... not visable to anyone glancing into the car.

PS. Dave, the Autoleads line amp works a treat!

Good idea in theory, but that can actually be quite expensive to re-direct to another network operator - as redirection is seldom included in the call inclusive packages

Surely you're all wrong - it's the SOS line to HMS Coastguard for when the footwell fills up with water when the heater matrix leaks.
Comes in handy if small children and cats get trapped in the footwell.

Nice thought, but children and cats are not worth saving.

Always good to thin the herd at times
