What should the horn on my 2000 2.2 CD sound like-it sounds like its off a Micra!! Pip pip...

Should it not be a twin tone loud paaaaarrppp one? It sounds daft on a car this size.

I'd have thought all Omegas should have twin tone horns, even my crappy Astra has. My cars have a 400Hz & 500Hz horn, I'd expect yours should too.    
A new horn from Vauxhall is around £20 ....obvioulsy somewhat less from a scrappy.

beind the nearside of the front bumper IIRC. One of mine failed on the Omega and it was cos the plastic convoluted conduit had rubbed through the wiring & cut the end of the loom off. Half hour with as oldering iron & a roll of tape sorted it. 
Try swapping over each horn on the individual plugs & see what happens. It could either a duff horn (like my Astra) or duff wiring (like my Omega)

Found the answer-someone has removed the front horn/left the wire for it hanging down, so only the rear one is working, hence the feeble pip!!

Is the front one different to the rear one-different sound?  How to source??

As said above ..... one is 400Hz & the other is 500Hz

Well many thanks to welung666; the parts have arrived 
I did a quick plug in test on the front (400hz) one and nothing-must be the wiring as suggested.

Will swap them about and have a play when I can get it up on a ramp, but would think the fromt one was removed previously as it did not work, so probably a wiring fault.
Any particular part of the wiring to look for faults??

Check the wiring behind the horns, they tend to chaff on a sharp edge higher up, bit of solder and it'll work

Well, thanks to help and advice on here, managed to source another horn, fit it and is all working fine now.

I ended up fitting 2x 500hz horns, facing opposite ways-sounds different to standard 400hz + 500hz twin tone, sounds like a 70s Peugeot.   Love it
