Text messages by phone
« on: 05 March 2012, 21:47:13 »

Why oh why do people send text messages to a landline number without checking that it receives texts ???

You end up with a stupid unintelligible computor voice that sounds foriegn trying to make sense of text speak by pronouncing unpronounceable words.. and you can't make any sense of the message anyway !!!

Grrrrrrrr  :(

It's quite easy to store a landline no. under a mobile tag.

Select recipient
Select mobile (with landline no)
Send text  ( to landline by mistake )

OK .. I guess it could be "in error" then ... :(  But doesn't make the damned things any more understandable, and, unlike a recorded message, you can't replay with ease .. :( and if you don't grab a pen fast enough you can't even get the number !!!!

I remember when that first came out.
The drunken fun of texting obscenities to a mate's landline so he'd have a robotic voice ring him and read them out.
