Lost locking wheelnut key.
« on: 10 March 2012, 20:12:58 »

As above - lost the key,so how do I get the locking nuts off without it.Not bothered about wrecking the nuts on the process as long as I get them off. Could possibly order one from VX but wouldnt pay a lot for it,as they are a bit of a shite contraption imo.
Its not then type with 3 irregular pins, its the type with an irregular shaped design the whole way around the nut if that makes sense,or makes any difference to getting them off.

Nip to your local tyre garage, hand over a fiver and they'll take them off for you :y

Did that a year or so ago, saves a lot of hassle and grief ;)

Find someone with a Vauxhall and borrow the key there aren't that many variants. I was lucky when I misplaced mine the guy next door has a Vectra with the same locking wheelnut key. :) :)

Confirm there is no "collar" around the outside of the locking wheelnut?

If not, I think I have something that will do the job, Albs. :y
