Phantom radio now too ?!
« on: 12 March 2012, 07:02:25 »

Parked the Omega last night in the drive, locked and secured it as normal. Went out this morning and thought I could hear music, and as I approached the car I could see the radio was on! This has happened before although at that time I thought I had left it on by accident. That does not now seem to be the case. Has anyone heard of this happening before? I suppose I could have put it on by accident on exiting the car somehow, but I doubt it.  :-\

Radio can be switched on independantly of ignition, but should turn off after about an hour - Not impossible for a fault to keep switching itself back on, and its worth removing radio for an hor and refitting again for a "hard reset" as this can often cure any internal software faults.

However, I would probably be looking at something else that is affecting the ignition circuitry and "waking up" the radio as a side effect.

Can't find the whisperer in yellow pages, nor the men with moustaches, so I've just gotta rely on you guys  :D

Power disconnected and now re established. Code entered again, all seems ok.
Just have to wait and see now .......  :-\
