mine's not exactly rocket science either!

when i was in freshers halls in a corridor of twelve guys, three were called Dave! one played england U21 rugby.... one was a quantity surveyor and one stuck posters on his ceiling.

Hmm, we ended up with Dippy, Detail and Big Daves..... 8-)

Vectra Elite Estate doing good post-Omega service but still not as nice to sit in.

One last Omega on the drive, one Corsa on the lawn...maybe they'll go to a good home before too long!

Hi Debs, where did you study ? I work in the AFM (Aeronautics and Flight Mechanics) dept at Southampton Uni.

My name was quite simple, I was signing up for ebay many years ago and noticed everyone had silly names and so my daily driver was a Opel Manta GTE hatchback, hence mantahatch.
Don't tell the owners of Manta coupe's but the hatch handled so much better round the bends than coupe's. (if a coupe owners read that, I have probably started world war 3)

Hi Mike,
Graduate and Post Graduate at U.C Davis in Northern California....took a 'chair' on the faculty, then a career in aerospace research with certain well known organisations within the U.S. (nudge-nudge wink-wink; say no more!) ;)

possibly :y

I know the subject is contoversial, I just felt so much more secure in the hatch than I ever felt in my coupe. The coupe' back end would step out at anytime and with no warning, and that was with expensive Avon tyres. The hatches had really cheap Kumho tyres and you really had to push it to get the back end out, and when you did it was nicely controllable.

Just my opinion.

Hi Debs
The manager of our facility is American, he has just joined us in January. He spent time in California about 7+ years ago and then was at Boeing before joining us.
I understand about not mentioning things, we have numerous "confidentiality agreements" in place. Sometimes those agreements really annoy me when your at a function and people ask what you do, you have to skirt around it on broad subject, but some people keep pushing and you have to clam up and then they think your just rude.

A friend of mine used to work somewhere much more security concious - he was allowed to job title and to friends rough details, I knew enough to second guess what he did but not where or why ect. But he did ask my opinion on some subjects and the information was used in this job.
