home maintenace
« on: 29 March 2008, 19:31:47 »

Had tracking done yesterday, seems to be lot better now than was before, no pulling to the sides now, they said it was out quite a bit, took ages to do and charged me 24 quids  :) :)

Finally got time to do breather system today. cant believe the shite that came out  black box when i took it off plenum. the 2 small tubes were solid hard gunge. took ages to clean. changed rocker cover gaskets and all new gaskets,  vauxhalls charged me £124 the lot. thieving robbing barstewards. i took me time reading the threads and found it so easy following the steps on here than i would of going by haynes.so far no oil anywhere, shall keep me eyes open in next few days and see how it goes.

10 out of 10 for guidance gents    :y :y

And to top it all i got speeding ticket through today.

Nice one, I must do my breathers and rocker cover gaskets too soon.

I also need to get hold of the cambelt DVD and bite the bullet on that job too.

Scary! :o

Isn't that the valve to de-pressurise the fuel lines, before removing the hoses when necessary?

I want my tracking done, went to my usual tyre place and they checked their list and said they couldn't do the Omega, because it needed weighting or something. They sent me to another place who quoted about £100 and said it would take about 1 1/2 hours.

Is this right or am I being conned?

At £24 it would be worth a trip to Heathrow!
