I understand they are all the same, but one from a later car would be preferred.

Must be from a known good working engine that had no issues of low pressure at hot idle.

Aint it s*ds law. My mate who runs his own garage & knows the V6 well has just chucked one out  as he was having a clearout

He says it's a pig of a job to do  - very labour intensive .............

No doubt why its not been fixed by previous owner

Can wait, sure. Would ramps make a big difference to this job? Having no clue about how to replace it, no idea if access from underneath would be better 

If it does make things vastly easier, there is a place near me where I can rent a garage lift.
