Engine oil cooler hoses
« on: 15 March 2012, 20:26:36 »

Hello all
Im still trying to get replacement engine oil hoses for my 2.5TD but they are not made anymore and second hand ones are rarer than rocking horse shit.
Does anyone know if it is acceptable to cut out the leaky part and replace with suitable hose (oil grade hydraulic from someone like Pirtek) and secure with a jubilee each side?  Otherwise I am at a loss.  Any help gratefully received.
Cheers
