Both Rear Window Switches Dont Work ?
« on: 15 March 2012, 21:23:58 »

I just noticed the rear windows don't work on the rear switches but they work from the drivers main control unit ??? . ( and yes ive tryd the child lock off/on :D  ) last time i checked about 3-4 months ago they worked but never have anyone in the back so only found out a few days back... is this a common problem and do you have any ideas what could be the cause... many thanks in advance for your replys  :)

Possibly duff on/off childlock switch on driver`s bank. Disassemble the main switch and clean all the contacts with a decent switch cleaner.
Any member nearby to swap switches over?

could well be ive no idea, I thought it might be a fuse gone but surely the front wouldn't work either ? I rather have body work problems over electrical ones :o don't know if this would help diagnose  the problem but one of the rear windows once fully down won't go back up fully then it goes back down again although it does close with a hand pushing it up possible a faulty sensor ?

I had this similar problem once. After messing with all the switches etc and getting nowhere i took the door panel off and regreased the winder channel and lubricated all the moving bits. it was then fine.
Worth a try i would say.

What confuses me is why do the rear windows work fine from the drivers control main window switch panel. and they don't work with their own switches in the back. they did work perfectly fine a few months back  :-\
